CALLING ALL MUSICIANS AND LUCY FANS

The Lucy Desi Center for Comedy is in need of musicians to take part in the largest community rendition of “I Love Lucy”, the theme song, this Friday, Aug. 3 at 6pm (arrive at 5:30) for an ABC 20/20 Barbara Walters special on “The Best Television of All Time.”

The song will be played in F MAJOR, and musicians and singers (yes, there are lyrics!) can review the song here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_CzPL_7LuQ

The location is Jamestown’s City Hall/Tracy Plaza at 200 E 3rd St. in downtown Jamestown.

ABC News 20/20 will be covering the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival (LucyComedyFest.com) and its “Lucy World Games Opening Ceremonies”  including grape-stomping and conveyer belt candy-wrapping from the most iconic “I Love Lucy” episodes.  Anyone may participate in the World Games during Party on the Plaza, including beer & wine, live band Party of Nine, and host Tammy Pescatelli, Winner of Comedy Central’s Stand-Up Showdown.

The Opening Ceremonies will be followed by the 8:30 Stand-Up Showcase with Host & Musical Guest Lucie Arnaz, next door at the beautiful Reg Lenna Civic Center theater.  Arnaz, an Emmy-winning producer, singer, and actress, and the daughter of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, will host a night of rising comics as her father did as the first-ever host and musical guest of “Saturday Night Live” in 1976.
